Gunther is a two year old German Shorthair Pointer (not registered or purebred) who came to Charlies's Place Shelter in Dumont, Colorado from a kill shelter in

Arkansas.

Gunther has been evaluated by a well known Colorado sportsman, hunter and trainer of sport and hunting dogs and deemed "a great dog for someone who is

getting started in hunting and wants a good companion dog to train as a bird dog. Gunther's evaluation rated him obedient with commands, walking on a leash and

other basic commands. He responded well on exposure to birds and training related to hunting but will need training to be a bird dog. He was exposed to a training pistol and showed no sign of gun shyness.
